RESUMO

Objective: To know the prevalence of CMPA with the scale in patients of the pediatrics external consultation in the Municipal Institute of Pension of Chihuahua in period from march to may 2022, Series of cases. Methods: A search was carried out on CMPA consultations in the period from March to May 2022, permission and informed consent was requested to access the clinical file and retrospectively, an analytical, observational, non- experimental, descriptive study was carried out., the COMISS scale was applied, and formulated a series of cases. Results: The prevalence of CMPA is 0.3%. CMPA positive patients did not have statistically significant differences with the suspects in terms of age, gestational age, birth weight, maternal age, atopy or tobacco. Presenting a series of cases. Conclusions: The prevalence of CMA with the use of COMISS was 0.3%, lower than the prevalence worldwide. The wider use of this scale is suggested to be considered in order to achieve a more accurate diagnosis.

Hypothermic (cold) preservation is a limiting factor for successful cell and tissue transplantation where cell swelling (edema) usually develops, impairing cell function. University of Wisconsin (UW) solution, a standard cold preservation solution, contains effective components to suppress hypothermia-induced cell swelling. Antifreeze proteins (AFPs) found in many cold-adapted organisms can prevent cold injury of the organisms. Here, the effects of a beetle AFP from Dendroides canadensis (DAFP-1) on pancreatic ß-cells preservation were first investigated. As low as 500 µg/mL, DAFP-1 significantly minimized INS-1 cell swelling and subsequent cell death during 4 °C preservation in UW solution for up to three days. However, such significant cytoprotection was not observed by an AFP from Tenebrio molitor (TmAFP), a structural homologue to DAFP-1 but lacking arginine, at the same levels. The cytoprotective effect of DAFP-1 was further validated with the primary ß-cells in the isolated rat pancreatic islets in UW solution. The submilligram level supplement of DAFP-1 to UW solution significantly increased the islet mass recovery after three days of cold preservation followed by rewarming. The protective effects of DAFP-1 in UW solution were discussed at a molecular level. The results indicate the potential of DAFP-1 to enhance cell survival during extended cold preservation.

RESUMO

As a parameter important ballistic, the research about polygonal and grooved barrels' behavior has not been widely carried out. The pressures, velocities, stresses, deformations, and strains generated by the firing of 9 mm × 19 mm ammunition in weapons with polygonal barrels are analyzed numerically and experimentally, compared with those generated in pistols with grooved barrels. The Finite Element Method with equal boundary and loading conditions was used in both types of guns, specifying the actual materials of the projectile and the barrels. Subsequently, experimental tests were carried out on various weapons with 9 mm ammunitions of 115, 122, and 124 gr. The results show that the 9 mm bullet fired in a polygonal barrel undergoes a maximum deformation towards its exterior of 0.178 mm and interior of 0.158 mm, with stress up to 295.85 MPa. Compared with 0.025 mm maximum external deformation and 0.112 mm internal deformation of 9 mm projectiles fired in a grooved barrel, with stress up to 269.79 MPa. The deformation in the polygonal barrel is in a greater area, but the rifling impression left is less deep, making its identification more difficult. Although there are differences in the stresses and strains obtained, similar velocity and pressure parameters are achieved in the two types of barrels. This has application in the development and standardization of new kinds of barrels and weapons.

RESUMO

Considering the unexpected emergence of natural and man-made disasters over the world and Turkey, the importance of preparedness of hospitals, which are the first reference points for people to get healthcare services, becomes clear. Determining the level of disaster preparedness of hospitals is an important and necessary issue. This is because identifying hospitals with low level of preparedness is crucial for disaster preparedness planning. In this study, a hybrid fuzzy decision making model was proposed to evaluate the disaster preparedness of hospitals. This model was developed using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP)-fuzzy decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (FDEMATEL)-technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solutions (TOPSIS) techniques and aimed to determine a ranking for hospital disaster preparedness. FAHP is used to determine weights of six main criteria (including hospital buildings, equipment, communication, transportation, personnel, flexibility) and a total of thirty-six sub-criteria regarding disaster preparedness. At the same time, FDEMATEL is applied to uncover the interdependence between criteria and sub-criteria. Finally, TOPSIS is used to obtain ranking of hospitals. To provide inputs for TOPSIS implementation, some key performance indicators are established and related data is gathered by the aid of experts from the assessed hospitals. A case study considering 4 hospitals from the Turkish healthcare sector was used to demonstrate the proposed approach. The results evidenced that Personnel is the most important factor (global weight = 0.280) when evaluating the hospital preparedness while Flexibility has the greatest prominence (c + r = 23.09).

RESUMO

The influence of surface bulges and cavities within metals is an important metallurgical-mechanical problem that has not been fully solved and motivates multiple discussions. This is not only related to the generation of interfaces, but also to the distribution of alloying components and elements. In this study, Laplace's equation was used to develop a set of equations to describe these kinds of defects in plates, which arise during the development of metallurgical processes, and this can be used for the prediction of pipeline failures subjected to internal pressure. In addition, the stability conditions of a cavity under an internal pressure are analyzed. The developed method allows to identify the stress state in the generation of the cavity and its propagation. In addition to this, finite element analyses were carried out in order to show first the stress distribution around a cavity subjected to a series of theoretical operation conditions and second to show the crack growth on the tip of the cavity.

RESUMO

One important challenge that faces the metallurgic industry turns around the constant increment in the mechanical resistance of certain finished products. Metallurgic advantages can be obtained from the inclusion of microparticles in metallic materials, but this inclusion involves complex challenges as the internal stress distribution can be modified. In this work, the simulation of a cooling sequence in 7075 aluminum with a SiO2 microparticle is presented. Two models of two-dimensional (2D) type were constructed in ANSYS®2019 with circular and oval shape microparticles located inside the aluminum. Both models were subjected to the same thermomechanical transient analysis to compare the remaining stress distributions around the microparticles after the thermal load and to observe the effect of the geometrical shape. The results show remaining stresses increased in the oval model as a consequence of the geometrical shape modification. After applying a tension load in the analyzed specimens, shear stress concentrations were observed with a higher magnitude around the covertex of the oval shape. The results can be very useful for the creation of materials with controlled remnant stress located in specific or desired locations in the matrix.
